How far down the peak should my roof vents be located?

The roof louvers should be installed in the upper third of the roof, preferably as close to the ridge line as possible. Most install the roof louver with the opening roughly 24" down from the ridge line.
NOTE - Installing the roof louver too low on the roof can cause the unit to act as an intake vent.
